As of October the golf team has only beat North so far. The beginning of the season has been rough, but their goal is to get better each and every week as a team.


Senior Devin Ashton

  1. Why did you begin to golf?
    1. Saw it as an option and decided to sign up
  2. How long have you been playing?
    1. 4 years
  3. What is the best score you have gotten?
    1. 67 on a 9 hole
  4. What would be the teams goal?
    1. To win
  5. Would you advise people to play?
    1. Heck yeah it is fun!

Coach Jared Cochran

  1. How long have you had an interest in golf?
    1. I started playing golf when I was 11, so I have been around the game for almost 30 years.
  2. What made you decide to coach golf?
    1. I coached many things at Hoover and Meredith before I got the opportunity to coach the golf team. It was always a dream of mine.  I love teaching the game of golf to young guys who may go on to play this awesome game for the next 50 years!
  3. What would be your goal for the team?
    1. My goals for this team may be a little different than years past. Last year my goals were pretty hefty. This year my goals are for us are to improve each and every week, build consistency in our games, and make the game as much fun as possible.
  4. What would be a goal for you as a coach?
    1. As a coach, I need to remain patient, make the game as fun as much as I possibly can, keep giving our kids drills to improve their games, working on game management and course management, Encourage them as much as possible while still maintaining high expectations.
