Its allergy and sickness season so brace yourself and here’s some advice:

  1. Maintain a healthy weight
  2. Exercise regularly
  3. Eat a healthy balanced diet
  4. Get enough sleep
  5. Take care of hygiene

Most Common allergies

Pollen, dust mites, mold, animal dander, insect stings, latex, and certain food and medications

Peanuts, milk, soya, nuts from trees, eggs and wheat.

OTC allergy meds are Loratadine (brand name: Claritin) and cetirizine (brand name: Zyrtec).

Signs and Symptoms of Flu

People who have the flu often feel some or all of these signs and symptoms:

  • Fever* or feeling feverish/chills
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Runny or stuffy nose
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headaches
  • Fatigue (very tired)
  • Some people may have vomiting and diarrhea, though this is more common in children than adults.

Treatment: consult a doctor

Symptoms of Sore throat

Pain circumstances: can occur while swallowing

Whole body: fever, chills, or malaise

Gastrointestinal: nausea or vomiting

Also common: sore throat, enlarged neck lymph nodes, swollen tonsils, tender lymph nodes, tonsil exudate, bad breath, or headache

Treatment: consult a doctor
